Hotel Near Downtown Los Gatos

4.5 Miles | 10 Minutes Drive

Downtown Los Gatos sits at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains, about ten minutes south of the Carlyle Hotel on Highway 17. North Santa Cruz Avenue and Main Street are lined with boutiques, galleries, tasting rooms, and restaurants, with a small-town feel that makes it a favorite weekend stroll for locals.

The Los Gatos Creek Trail ends right by downtown, so you can walk or ride there from Campbell, and the town's annual Children's Christmas and Holidays Parade on the first Saturday of December is one of the South Bay's best-loved traditions.

Tips

  • Weekends are busy. Parking is easiest earlier in the day.
  • Highway 17 continues over the mountains to Santa Cruz. Check traffic before a beach day, especially on summer weekends.
  • On parade day in December, many downtown streets are closed from early morning to mid-afternoon.
